Connecting Slack

Slack integration lets you receive formatted notifications in any Slack channel when your Signals find new posts, detect job changes, or when AI Agents identify something worth acting on immediately.

What Slack is used for

Slack is a notification integration — it delivers alerts to your team in real time. It does not push contacts or sync data. The typical use cases are:

  • Get notified when a Signal finds a new post matching your keywords

  • Receive an alert the moment a monitored contact changes jobs

  • Have an AI Agent ping your sales channel when it detects buyer intent in a comment or post

Connecting Slack

  1. Go to Integrations in the left sidebar.

  2. Find Slack and click Configure.

  3. Click Connect with Slack to begin the OAuth flow.

  4. Sign in to your Slack workspace and authorise the app.

  5. Once authorised, the integration shows as Connected.

Slack uses OAuth — no API key is required. The connection grants the platform permission to post messages to channels in your workspace.

Using Slack in Signals

Once connected, Slack channel selection is available in the Signal Configure step for supported Signal types.

For post notifications: Inside the Slack Notification block on the Configure step, click Enable and configure and select the channel to receive new post alerts.

For job change notifications: Inside the Slack Notification block on a Job Changes Signal (Type 2), select the channel to receive job change alerts. Each alert includes the person's name, previous role, new role, and a link to their LinkedIn profile.

Using Slack in AI Agents

AI Agents can send a Slack message as a conditional action — triggered only when the agent's output matches your rule.

In the AI Agent Actions step, add a conditional action and choose Send to Slack. Select the channel. When the condition fires, a formatted message is sent to that channel with relevant context about the post, comment, or contact that triggered it.

Example:

  • Agent detects buyer intent in a LinkedIn comment → output equals BUYER INTENT

  • Action: Send to Slack → #sales-alerts channel

  • Your team sees the alert immediately and can engage while the window is open

Selecting channels

Channel selection happens at the point of use — on the Signal configure step or in the AI Agent action. You can send different Signal types to different channels and route AI Agent alerts to different channels based on the output category.

There are no account-level Slack settings beyond the initial connection.

Disconnecting Slack

To disconnect, go to Integrations → find Slack → click ConfigureDisconnect. This removes the connection from the platform. You can also revoke access from within your Slack workspace's app settings.
